The MTM High Speed Array is designed for volume production of small, fully mitered transformer cores with cutting speeds as high as 180 pieces per minute. There are 2 distinct machines in the array: a dedicated unit for cutting yokes and side legs and another unit for cutting center legs only. These machines can be combined and scaled to productivity requirements. A balanced array consists of 3 machines – 2 yoke/side leg shears and 1 center leg shear - which in concert yields 3 legs and 2 yokes every 1.7 seconds. The design allows an enterprise the option of initially utilizing one of each shear and adding shear units according to future demand, reducing startup costs.
