The MTM HV Multi Coil Winding Machine is designed to manufacture multiple HV coils at the same. Equipped with up to 3 wire guidance assemblies, customers can choose between 1, 2, or 3 coil production modes.  Equipped with a sliding tailstock with live centre or with a swinging tailstock gate, MTM DMW1200 Multi Coil Machine allows removal of winding mandrels and coils in one operation and the quick setup for the next production cycle.

The MTM Integrated Paper Cutting System is designed to cut insulation paper for the insulation layer between windings. The traversing knife is able to cut each coil independently allowing the operate the ability to secure the paper / insulation to the coil one at a time.  

Flexible machine configuration allows for increased productivity by decreasing machine setup time

Automated Tension Control

  • Automated wire tension control utilizing electronic tensioning and pneumatic dancer system for constant tension control
  • Synchronized motion between wire guidance and mandrel rotation providing precise wire pitch control while maintaining constant tension control throughout the coil winding
  • Integrated round wire flattening is available (pull through or powered) suitable for single or multi wire applications

Programmable Computer Control

  • Fully programmable control system with touch screen and
    user-friendly HMI. Ready for smart factory / IoT integration
  • Built-in UPS in the controller which allows the status to be
    saved prior to executing an automated, controlled shutdown
  • Offline recipe creation sofware that can be download to
    machine via intranet (bar-code scanning) or USB drive.

  • Integrates with MTM Round or Rectangular Winding Mandrels
  • Configurable wire decoiler arrangements for multiple round and rectangular wires
  • Coil Follower for rectangular wires that applies reverse bend and forms foil wires the corners of the coil
