The MTM HV Gradient Winding Machine utilizes a gradient wrap insulation, which varies the thickness of insulation across the winding layer. The machine is designed to wind 1 coil with either round or rectangular wires while supplying gradient insulation and / or full width insulation.
With four insulation wrapping modes, this machine technology can provide up to 15% material savings by producing smaller, tighter coils. When the greatest difference of voltage positional occurs, appropriate insulation thickness can be used.
Decrease coil manufacturing time by up to 30% by winding wire and paper / insulation at the same time
Superior Tension Control
- Automated wire tension control utilizing electronic tensioning and pneumatic dancer system for constant tension control
- Synchronized motion between wire guidance and mandrel rotation providing precise wire pitch control while maintaining constant tension control throughout the coil winding
